BEST DIET EVER!!!!

I have stumbled onto the best diet ever. I was recently diagnosed with a mild form of diabetes (I am insulin intolerant) and have been put on meds to help my body not fight the insulin. I also got braces (on the same day I got my metfomin) and have since lost a ton of weight. Between the diet I started a month or 2 ago and the braces and betes medecine I am now down 21lbs!!!! I am amazed. Who knew that all I needed was dental work that A: made it hurt too bad to chew ANYTHING and B: had to brush my teeth after eating anything so is it REALLY worth it? would be the ticket to losing weight for me. I am so happy that I decided it was time to fix the stupid gap in my teeth and that coupled with the betes (thought it was going to be horrible but so far not so bad) would be just what I needed. Call me Pollyanna for seeing the good in a bad situation, I don't care, it is working.

CRAFTASTIC!

I am having a blast and a half. I have recently started a few new clubs and could not be more excited. I am in an embroidery club called Stitchen Bitches and another club called Crafty Bitches. (Any one seeing a theme here?) The Crafy B's are an anything goes kind of group. We have made calendar's reciepe holders etc. In fact we have been having so much fun (and of course are so very good) that we have decided to start selling our wares. We have planned a few open houses to sell stuff throughout the summer. We are also starting a blog to sell stuff from. I am also newly in love with embroidery. My friend Heather sent me a link to a FANTASTIC website called Sublime Stitching and they have some super cute patterns books and general how to knowledge. After our first official meeting we all managed to succefully complete a practice project. That is even after having a few "beverages". So anyway, if your life is crappy and full of too much drama get some friends together and find an excuse, sorry, Hobby to bring you together and start having fun. Good luck!

A long time coming.

"I have been bad." How many times have you said that, or heard that? I havn't been good about watching what I eat, excersizing, or anything lately. My excuse? I am busy, I have been working a lot, I'm tired. I am now a part of a fantastic support group for people like me who have tried it all before and crashed and burned or maybe were successful but then slowly it all came back. It sucks. I know I really hate dieting, I am sure there are others who feel that way too. I also know by looking at certain members of my family that this is never going to magically go away. I am going to try to A:maintain a posative attitude and B:help others try to do the same. Enjoy the journey. :)

I LOVE DR. HORRIBLE!

My new favorite thing is Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog. I have always been a fan of Joss Whedon's work. Every since I caught the first episode of Buffy all the way to Serenity/Firefly. This is really funny. The singing is really terrific. I was amazed at how much I love Neil Patrick Harris, and the guy can sing. Yes, little Dougie Houser all grown up and now he has a PhD in Horribleness. Not everyone can claim that. The only complaint I have is that it's not enough. I want MORE!!!!!! And Nathan Fillian (I think that's how you spell it) Is so funny as Capt Hammer. The smarmy "Good Guy" really makes you root for the bad guy. If you have never seen it you must find it, get it, and watch it. Even if you aren't crazy about musicals (did I mention it's a musical, I shouldn't have to cause sing is in the title.) you will probably even enjoy the singing. I know I have listened to it at least 10-12 times a day. I sooooo love it.

Lagoon is fun for all ages!

We went to Lagoon with Steve's family (that's my husband for those of you who don't know) his sister and her family were visiting from Oregon (Her, her husband & 5 boys). I haven't been to Lagoon in a very long time and I must say I don't remember ever having as much fun as I did that day. The Boys were hilarious, her oldest, Tanner, told me I was fun to go on the scary roller coasters since I laughed and screamed the whole time making it not so scary. I must say he is right, I make everything more fun, although the part about me making things less scary isn't necessarily true. I didn't think I would make it through the whole day but the SXinny water is totally changing what I can and can't do. Hooray!!

Viva la Mexico

I just got back (a week ago) from Mexico. It was so beautiful and relaxing, until the diahrea hit that is. But before that it was so peaceful, sitting on the beach all day while the cabana boy (and one time a girl) brought beverage after beverage. Most of the time they even made them right. We stayed at the Dreams Tulum and it was so nice. Everyone was extremely helpful, especially when our luggage dissappeared as we were checking out. They found it almost immediately so no disasters.

Here comes the product placement.

So I have now been doing the Liv Sxinny routine for about 2 1/2 months now. I love the products and was kicking some serious butt for the first month but then the exercising started slowing down and so did the weight loss. I don't know how many inches I've lost since I didn't start tracking that until I was about 5 or 6 weeks into it. (Sorry Rain, don't hurt me.) I can really see a difference now. The best part of this is all I am doing is staying hydrated and eating smaller portions every 3 hours. I thought I was obsessed about food before but now I really have to think about what I'm going to eat and when I'm going to eat it. (Not that you need to be that is just the way I roll. hence the idiot.) But anyhoo, I have now lost 20 lbs (19.8 if you want to be picky STEVE) and 21.75 inches. Not bad for something I hardly have to think about.
